Laura Louise Watts, BA, Dipl.TCMP, R.Ac
Laura (she/her) graduated with Honours from Humber College’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program. She is a registered member in good standing of the Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia (ATCMANS).
Laura also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trent University and a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from George Brown College. She taught language in Canada and abroad for many years. While working in China, she became interested in Acupuncture after experiencing its profound effects first hand and seeing how well it integrates with Standard Western Medicine in hospital. As an educator, she is passionate about sharing the benefits of Chinese medicine and enjoys talking with clients about health and wellness.
Laura developed her skills at Tzu Chi Clinic, the People with AIDS Foundation, interdisciplinary clinics, and internships with respected and experienced Chinese Medicine Practitioners. Her extensive clinical experience involves treating pain, headache, menstrual issues, fertility, peri/menopausal symptoms, autoimmune diseases, digestive complaints, insomnia, fatigue, and mental health issues.
There are many techniques that Laura uses to restore balance in the body, such as Acupuncture, Cupping, Tuina, Guasha, and Herbal Formulas. Her training in martial arts helps her sense and respond to energy patterns in the body. Each client is responded to as a whole person, resulting in a treatment plan unique for each client.
Amy Huong Le Huynh, Dipl.Esthetics, Cert.Thai Massage
Amy (she/her) is a graduate of Marvel Beauty School, certified in esthetics and electrolysis with a focus on Swedish massage. She also holds Level 2 training from Thai Massage Toronto School.
Over the course of her career, Amy developed a passion for body work and has incorporated various techniques Into her massage style. She finds Swedish Massage effleurage combined with passive range of motion Thai Massage gives clients a good result, relieving muscle tension, increasing flexibility, and alleviating tension and stress. With over 20 years of experience, she has a sensitive touch that is responsive to the body’s tissues. Amy is also a devoted practitioner of Karate. Her martial arts practice gives her a deep understanding of patterns of holding tension and how to help energy flow.
Amy loves meeting people and working with people from different cultural backgrounds. She strives to help her clients feel connected and balanced in every treatment.
